Great Leaders Aren't Born or Made, They're In The Making!

In this talk, I'll share my journey from the baseball field, learning from three Hall of Fame coaches, to guiding Learnit for over 28 years, which have provided the unique opportunity to peer behind the scenes at how hundreds of our customer’s organizations navigate their approach to leadership. I'll share actionable tools on how anyone can step up their game by embracing a 'Learn-It-All' mindset. We'll compare 'Learn-It-Alls' with 'Know-It-Alls,' and spotlight the importance of stepping out of our comfort zone, which is where real growth happens. Stepping Up to the Plate: Conquering Imposter Syndrome in The Game of Life

Did you know that an estimated 70% of individuals experience imposter syndrome at least once in their lives? Many great opportunities are passed up or missed because people are filled with self-doubt. A pivotal conversation with my college baseball coach ultimately helped me develop a three-step strategy for combating impostor syndrome. This approach, involving working hard, staying focused, and learning to let go, has impacted not only my life, but also the lives of many others. Whether you’re a student, an athlete, or a business leader, this method is universally applicable.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Label Their Fear: Participants will learn the critical first component of overcoming Imposter Syndrome - identifying and naming their fears.

    • Embrace Purposeful Awfulizing: Purposeful Awfulizing is about taking a hard look at what could go wrong and often finding out that the worst that could happen isn't as terrible as you thought. This helps take the edge off the anxiety that comes with feeling like an impostor.

    • Overcome Imposter Syndrome & Self Doubt: Participants will learn about the psychological barriers like impostor syndrome that can hinder their potential and discover strategies to overcome them.

Real growth only happens when we step beyond our comfort zones. It's about making bold choices, embracing vulnerability, and not shying away from the possibility of making mistakes.
